Google's Open Social URL, which I first read about on nextdot.net a couple of days, is now live at http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial/. Open Social essentially offers "a common set of APIs for social applications across multiple websites." Meaning: Developers will only have to learn one API to access and develop social networks and applications using the API. The list of networks includes bebo, Engage.com, Friendster, hi5, Hyves, imeem, LinkedIn, MySpace, Ning, Oracle, orkut, Plaxo, Salesforce.com, Six Apart, Tianji, Viadeo, and XING.
Check the video on the open social system below (or follow the link to youtube).
